As a child I would spend all my time drawing. I drew mostly horses but some other animals as well. Art was always my favourite subject at school and my highest marks were always in art. I earned a place in Art College but I foolishly turned it down because I wanted to get out to work and earn money.
Later I got married and had a family. I stopped drawing simply because I was too busy doing other things.
Now retired I have decided to pick up my pencils and paints again and find I am enjoying it as much now as I did as a child.
I work from photographs and use quality artists materials.
My emphasis is nearly always on the eyes as I believe the eyes are the window to the soul and I try to reflect this in my artwork.
I also knit, sew, crochet, make beaded jewellery and embroidered gifts.
In 2017 I won an award for my rendition of a Bay Horse. This was taken from a tutorial by Amy Lindenberger and present by Ann Kullberg's Colour Magazine.
In February 2018 on of my coloured pencils works were featured in Ann Kullberg's Coloured Pencil Magazine.
In March 2018 on of my coloured pencils works were featured in Ann Kullberg's Coloured Pencil Magazine.
